For solvent based painting systems
Paint particles introduced to the paint booth water as overspray
arevery sticky and will adhere to many areas of the booth
reducing its efficiency and making cleaning very difficult.
The Ecotex products when added to the booth water render
the paint in to a non-sticky manageable form.Unlike traditional
methods of industrial waste water treatment the principle
of our products is based on Zeolite minerals, enormously highcapacity
for adsorption and ion exchange.
An initial dose of, as little as, 1 kilo of product to 1.000
litres of boothwater is put into the booth and thereafter
at a rate depending upon thevolume of over spray (typically,
3% or 3 kilos per 100 kilos of paint overspray).
The ECOTEX products are neutral and non soluble in water.
They do not saponify or emulsify the paint solids, they achieve
their effect through adsorption and coagulation. This results
in a non sticky semi soft mass which is attracted to themulti
faceted surface of the ECOTEX.
So the pollutants introduced into the water by the paint
over spray(particularly the highly contaminating heavy metals
and solvents) arecontinuously taken out, leaving the water
clean and neutral. The non-soluble sludge is no longer sticky.
Consequently the booth remains in good working condition;
the frequency of booth water changing is significantly reduced
and there is no furring and blocking of pumps, jets and pipes.
Production is thus increased and costs reduced.
The range includes products specifically developed for use
with 2 pack epoxy and polyester paints and
for paints and lacquers with high solvent concentrations and
high levels of noxious fumes (eg in the Wood industry).
