Hydrocoll V

Hydrocoll V is an off-white protective coating for floors. After drying it gives an off-white tough peelable film. Designed to offer a simple yet effective method of maintaining and protecting solvent-resistant surfacesfrom abrasion, paints, oils, resins and diluted acids and alkalis.

Method of use

apply by brush, spray, lamb's wool or mohair roller.
Make sure that a heavy even film is applied. The thicker and more even the application the easier it will be to remove.

Brush or roller coating: apply at least two coats in opposite directions to achieve the correct thickness.
When applying by spray use a pressure feed system and approx.
a 2.5 to 2.8 mm fluid tip set up at thegun. It may be necessary to add a little LF Thinner to ease spraying but make sure the film is applied thickenough. The thinner will also be necessary for cleaning of equipment after use.
Do not use suction feed guns.
Stir thoroughly before use.
Coverage to give good easily peelable films isapprox. 1m²/ltr.

Floors
use as supplied, on any concrete, terrazzo, quarry tile or granolithic floor surfaces. Hydrocoll V will provide a tough peelable coating that will withstand even forklift trucks passing over it. Contaminated areas may be cut out and recoated. The dried film is milky white in colour and has a matt surface.
NOTE: some floor surfaces may not be 100% inorganic and could be solvent sensitive. If in any doubt, please seek the advice of GET Technical Service.

Components and fitting
Hydrocoll V may also be used with LF Thinner added for spraying purposes, to give lasting peelableprotection to components and fittings (of a non-solvent-sensitive type) during transportation, fitting out, assembly and storage.

Life
For the applied film life of 6 months is possible under indoor conditions. Inspection after 3 months is advised.

The surface must be carefully patch tested on ± 0,5-1 m² before use to ensure no surface attack occurs and the product remains easily peelable after normal usage conditions.
